- Shoulder ChecksLook over your shoulder before retrieving a puck. Evaluators love this.
- Finish Every DrillSkate all the way through the line. Don't slow down early.
U15 & U18 AAA/High School
Weighting & Focus
Playmaking, defensive responsibility, and reading the play.
Winning battles along the boards. Backchecking intensity.
Execution at top speed.

Tryout Season Calendar
Hockey Winnipeg (AA)
Evaluations typically start immediately after Labour Day weekend.
High School (WSHL)
Tryouts run concurrently with the first week of classes.
AAA (U15/U17/U18)
Many AAA programs have spring ID camps, with main camp in late August.
Community/House
Evaluations for balancing teams happen after AA cuts are made.
