Off-season and private programs are not automatically sanctioned

Many off-season private programs are not automatically Hockey Manitoba or Hockey Canada sanctioned. That does not make every program unsafe, but it does mean parents should confirm insurance, eligibility impact, officials, and discipline rules directly.

Manitoba tournament listings are a useful first check

Hockey Manitoba publishes a sanctioned Manitoba tournament list. Its guidance says non-sanctioned and out-of-Manitoba tournaments are excluded from that list, and teams may only attend Hockey Canada or USA Hockey sanctioned tournaments.
