Ages 4-6
Timbits U7: Discovery
The first steps on the ice. Fun, games, and basic movement skills.
What to Expect
There are no "positions" at this age, just players. The focus is 100% on fun and basic movement. Expect a lot of falling down—that means they are learning! Practices are station-based to keep kids moving.
The Game Format
Cross-ice games (using only a fraction of the rink). No scorekeeping, no standing in lines. Small nets and blue pucks (lighter) are used to help confidence.
Parent Tip
Don’t worry if your child spends half the practice making snow angels. At this age, positive association with the rink is the only goal.
